A Simple Skin Care Routine: Face

Minimalistic skincare has been my saving grace for the past few years. Life is already complicated enough, why does cleaning my skin have to be? I've never had horrible acne, but my skin has consistently looked good since I found a skincare regimen that worked for me. My skin type is moderately dry skin therefore, I knew that I needed to focus on three aspects of maintaining it's health: cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing. I started looking for products that were inexpensive, convenient and had ingredients that I can research. As my skin's needs change over time, so will my routine. Here's a list of the current products I swear :

CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser

I stumbled upon this while shopping at Kroger looking for an alternative to the Cetaphil cleanser I had been using for the past few years. CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser is perfect for all types of sensitive skin. According to Life Extension Magazine, it contains ceramides that work together to provide moisture and keep the skin looking young! Using this almost every day has kept my skin clear and refreshed, a great way to start my day!

Dermologica Daily Microfoliant

Aunt Jackie mentioned on Instagram that she used this ONCE and I rushed to Ulta quick, fast, and in a hurry! Surprisingly the price point was not enough to scare me off, just know that I'm using my $60 daily microfoliant every other day. This physical rice-based powder polishes my skin without drying it out or being too harsh. Pure Luxury, get some!

VitaminSea.beauty Sea Kale & Hyaluronic Acid Complex Rejuvenating Skin Serum

I started looking into products that contain Hyaluronic Acid because it soothes skin and helps with retaining retain moisture. Serums and moisturizers that contain Hyaluronic Acid are typically more expensive, so I was surprised to find this one for $11.99. Not only does my skin feel soft, it's but moisturized without making me feel greasy.

Aquaphor

Parting from Burt’s Bees was a decision I had been wrestling with for a while, but despite loving the brand my lips craved something that wasn’t weighed down and gave shine! After watching Ciara’s Makeup Refresh video for Vogue, I was in awe of how healthy her lips looked and that she was able to use Aquaphor as a protective layer for lipstick. Having added SPF 30 and castor seed oil leave my kissers feeling soft and supple for most of the day!
